• Driver-Guide: USD 15–20 per day (tip directly at the end of your safari)
• Lodge/Camp Staff: USD 10–20 per stay (use the communal tip box where available; individual tipping is not recommended)
• Trackers: USD 10–20 per day (where applicable).
• Airport Transfers: USD 5–10 per transfer
• City Tour Guides: USD 15–20 per half-day tour.
• Gorilla/Chimpanzee Trekking (Uganda & Rwanda): USD 20–25 per day for park rangers and trackers, plus approximately USD 20 per day for porters (highly recommended).

What is the weather like for safaris in East Africa?

• Kenya and Tanzania: Warm tropical climate with rainy seasons from March to May and October to December. The drier months are ideal for wildlife viewing.

• Rwanda: $1500 USD per person.

Permit fees are set by the respective wildlife authorities and include park entrance, ranger services, and one hour with a habituated gorilla family. As permits are limited, early booking is highly recommended.
