Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport, meet and greet and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe where you will relax from as you recover from your flight jet lag.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale with an enroute lunch stop in Fort Portal
The second day of this Uganda safari begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Entebbe by one of our safari guides who will take your through a short briefing about this entire trip before you undertake a thrilling 350km or 6-7 hours journey to one of Uganda’s premier wildlife destinations Kibale park. As you enjoy his drive you will get to meet numerous Ugandans going about their day to day activities. When you arrive in Fort Portal town, you will have a lunch break which consists of an array of continental dishes prepared from freshly handpicked ingredients. After your sumptuous lunch you will embark on the rest of your journey to your lodge. You will be welcomed to your lodge in Kibale by warm, friendly and all smiling Ugandan faces of the staff at the lodge that will usher you into your room. You will have the rest of the evening off to yourself to rest from this long journey to this park. Dinner will be served later in the evening and then you will retire to your bedroom for the night as you wait to meet the fascinating chimpanzees the following day.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trek and an afternoon visit to Bigodi community and transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park
The morning of this day kicks off with an amazing breakfast that is aimed at energizing for the thrilling chimpanzee trek that’s ahead of you. You will be transferred by your guide to the park center in Kanyanchu where you get to go through a short briefing about the entire chimpanzee trekking experience. From here in a company of park ranger, embark on jungle walk as you search for these great humans of the wild the chimpanzees and the highlight of the day will be when you get to meet these exciting creatures you will be wowed by how much in common we do have with these great apes as they laugh, hug and kiss just like humans do and also look after the young ones. Besides the chimpanzees, you should also not miss out on the sightings of several other primates that call this forest their home and these include the black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, Grey monkeys. After the chimpanzee encounter which lasts an hour of pure enjoyment return to the park center where your trekking efforts are rewarded with a trekking certificate. From here, have a lunch break then transfer to Bigodi community where you get to engage in a community encounter with the locals and see how they live their daily lives, watch them or even engage in some of their days to day activities such coffee picking, local brew making and as you undertake this community thriller, you will take part in the coffee-making process right from planting process, harvesting red ripe coffee berries, sun drying process, then coffee pounding and finally making your own cup of coffee that is freshly brewed from the coffee that’s grown by these locals. After your cultural experience in Bigodi, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth Park and transfer to your lodge here

Day 4: Morning game drive in Kasenyi and an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel
This day will see you being exposed to what Queen Elizabeth national park has to offer. You will kick off with an early morning game drive where you meet more of Uganda wildlife mammals which include lions, Cape buffaloes African elephants Topis Bush bucks. In the afternoon enjoy another round of thrilling boat ride as you get to cruise the Kazinga channel and this comes with numerous encounters with hippos, more grassland wild animals and a myriad of bird species as this park is home to 600 bird species

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi
Day 5 will have you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable park which is home to the biggest primates on earth the giant mountain gorillas. Enroute to the Bwindi you will have a chance to see the famous tree climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth that are usually sighted in the Ishasha sector.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
This day you will get you to actually meet the gorillas as you engage in a memorable gorilla trekking experience which will have you meet these gentle giants in their natural habitat. You will spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in order to have an understanding their habits which aren’t far from our own. From here, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you get to relax from the rather a bit tedious gorilla trekking experience. On arrival to this beautiful tropical gem of the Kigezi highland, you will be fascinated by the tranquil waters of this lake and the numerous islands that are dotted all over this lake hence leading to its famous name The Lake of a Thousand Islands. Take a relaxing boat cruise on the waters of this lake as you are taken through the history behind several of these islands such as the Akampene island which is also known as the Punishment island where young girls who had got pregnant were thrown and left to die alone, the upside-down island which legend has it that it was cursed by an old lady when the young people who lived on that island refused to give her beer, she cursed it and it turned upside down hence having them all drowned. From this boat cruise, transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
You will wake up at 7:00am to the sweet melodies of birds that will be singing their hearts off to the dawn of a new day and this will fairly make you understand why this Lake in called Bunyonyi which means a Lake of many small birds. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast that comes with a warm cup of coffee or tea & an assortment of snacks while you appreciate nature’s work and also re-energize before you slope down. You will check out of the lodge and embark on the transfer to Kampala 420km and Entebbe 470km from Lake Bunyonyi with a lunch stop at the Equator restaurant.
