The 14 Days East African wildlife safari comes with a promise of giving you the best authentic African safari adventure within a fortnight. During this epic African safari odyssey, you will visit some of the best wildlife conservation areas in East Africa such as Volcanoes and Bwindi national park where you will meet the apes of East Africa. Other parks on the agenda include Tarangire, Serengeti national Parks and Ngorongoro crater which are filled with numerous wild mammals that range from Africa Savanna big five wild mammals which are the African lion, the Elephant, Cape Buffaloes, Rhinos and the Leopard. Some of the other wild mammals you won’t miss during this Kenyan tour include the Plain zebras, Masai Giraffes, Rothchild giraffes, the wildebeests. 

Safari highlights

Day 1: Arrival and pick up from the airport visit the genocide memorial and transfer to Volcanoes where you will visit the Ibyi’iwacu community

Day 2: Track the golden monkeys and transfer to Bwindi National Park

Day 3: Trek gorillas 

Day 4 Drive back to Kigali and have a relaxed afternoon 

Day 5: Fly to Arusha and drive to Tarangire national park for an afternoon and a night game drive

Day 6: Full day spent in Tarangire national park with 2 game drives

Day 7: Drive from Tarangire to Central Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive here.

Day 8: A whole day spent in the central part of Serengeti 

Day 9: You will transfer to the Ndutu area of Serengeti for more game drives

Day 10: A whole day to spent in Ndutu

Day 11: A second day to be spent in Ndutu 

Day 12: Early morning game drive in Ndutu and transfer to Ngorongoro crater to engage in an afternoon game drive

Day 13: Full day of exploring Ngorongoro crater

Day 14: Transfer from Ngorongoro to the Arusha 

Day 15: Transfer from the Arusha hotel to Kilimanjaro airport where the safari ends.

 

Day 1: Meet and greet at the airport, visit to the genocide museum and drive to Volcanoes Park. 

Upon your arrival to Kigali International airport, you will be picked up by one of our safari guides who will warmly welcome to Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills. You will kick off this safari with a visit to Kigali genocide memorial museum. This museum captures the horror of the 1994 Rwanda genocide in which this country fell into turmoil as over 800, 000 are believed to have died as the Hutu people massacred the Tutsi in a period of about 90 days. After you visit to the memorial, you embark on your transfer to Volcanoes park, home to the biggest primates on earth the giant mountain gorillas. This 110km or 2.5-3 hours journey to Volcanoes National Park takes you on a spectacular journey through the countryside of this rather pristine country. You will get to encounter numerous Rwandans going about their daily activities and these will range from trade to farming their lands. Also, expect to be blown away by the amazing rolling hills of Rwanda which surely confirm to you why this country is referred to as the land of a thousand hills.  On reaching Volcanoes park, you will engage in a community visit to Ibyi’wacu community which is found on the peripherals of this park. Here you will get to see for yourself firsthand how these locals have managed to share these lands with the wild dwellers that are so close to them. You will also get to see how the park has immensely helped in improving the lives of these communities as way of ensuring that they peacefully co-exist with gorillas without getting the urge to hunt them.

Day 2: Epic golden monkey trek and drive to Bwindi

Day 2 of this African safari tour, will see you get to trek these rather shy but intriguing Golden monkeys that reside in the jungles of Volcanoes Park, you will wake up early for breakfast after which you will be given a briefing just like they did for the gorilla trekking. After this briefing you will embark on a guided jungle walk as you track down where the elusive monkeys are. When you find them. You will have an hour with these monkeys to observe and photograph to your satisfaction. At the lapse of this hour, you will begin trek back to the park center where our guide will be waiting for you from. After taking a short break, you begin your journey to Bwindi which will have you cross the Rwandan border at Cyanika border post.

Day 3: Meet the gorillas  

This day you will get you to actually meet the gorillas as you engage in a memorable gorilla trekking experience which will have you meet these gentle giants in their natural habitat. You will spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in order to have an understanding about their habits which aren’t far from our own.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali

This day will have you wake up at leisure have breakfast after which you will begin your journey back to Kigali

Day 5: Fly from Kigali to Arusha then drive to Tarangire for afternoon and night game drives

Today you will check out of your hotel in Kigali, transfer to Kigali airport and fly to Arusha Tanzania. Upon arrival here, you will be received by our Tanzanian guide who will take you into Tanzania’s wilderness as you get to visit Tarangire national park. Tarangire national park is one of the richest national parks in Tanzania in terms of bio dioversity as its home to numerous wild animals such as Lions, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras and Ellands, Wildebeests and many more. It also comes with close to 500 bird species hence its never a dull place to be if you have an avid love for birds. Upon your arrival here, you will engage in a game drive to see some of the animals mentioned above. You will get to enjoy two game drives in Tarangire one in the afternoon and the other will be conducted in the night in order to give you chance of encountering nocturnal animals of this park

Day 6: Enjoy unlimited game drives in Tarangire Park

Day 6 will be spent exploring the uncharted savanna grasslands of Tarangire with both morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 7: Transfer from Tarangire to central Serengeti

On the 7th of this safari you will leave Tarangire National Park and go to THE central part of Serengeti National Park. Serengeti national park is the epitome of all Africa wildlife safari journeys as it boasts of being home to most of the African savanna wildlife species. the Serengeti eco system will stretch you gaze as it will seem to go on forever in every direction you look. A safari game drive is in Serengeti is indeed something that to look forward to by every African safari adventurer as it comes with returns of wild encounters ranging from Elephants, Lions, Cape Buffaloes, Leopards, Cheatahs, Burchells Zebras, Giraffes, and an array of antelope subspecies that roam these vast lands. The annual Wildebeest migration which sees over 2 million hooves of numerous wild animals make a tremendous and equally treacherous journey up North in search for greener pastures also happens here so if your timing is right you might just be able to catch it as it happens. At the end of this game drive you will transfer to your lodge and unwind from your today’s wild escapades.

Day 8: Spend a full day in central Serengeti with 2 game drives

You will wake up to the unbelievable sounds of wild central Serengeti and have breakfast which you will depart from the lodge and follow on of the numerous game drive tracks that have been carefully paved to optimize your chances of encountering many of the wild dwellers of this park. After about 4-5 hours of traversing Serengeti you will return to your lodge to take a lunch break in order to regain your strength that is very much needed for round two of game drive that’s to come.

Day 9: Drive from Central Serengeti to Ndutu area

This day will see you cross from central Serengeti to the Ndutu part of this vast. You will also have 2 thrilling game drives or you can opt to engage in any of the other available optional activities which include a visit to a Masai community to indulge in a cultural exchange experience or take to the skies above the Serengeti and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the sprawling savannah grasslands and all their wild animal contents.

Day 10: Enjoy 2 game drives in Ndutu area

 Day 10 will also have you visit perhaps another part of Ndutu to see what it has in store for you as you get to enjoy 2 rounds of game drives.

Day 11: Final full day to be spent in Ndutu

This is more or less similar to the 10 days you have had in Serengeti hence it will be dedicated to maximizing your chances of encountering your favorite wild animals that you love watching or search for those that have so far eluded you if any at this point of this safari.

Day 12: Drive to Ngorongoro crater for a game drive

Day 12 will have you cross to Ngorongoro crater, this crater is a constant reminder of how strong the natural forces that molded this earth particularly here were, the Ngorongoro crater is a remnant of the geological forces of volcancity that occurred here millions of years ago. After blowing off the top of what is said to been a relatively higher Ngorongoro mountain, this crater is all what is left behind and to your advantage enjoying a geological lecture isn’t the only thing that you’ve come here for, this crater is part of the larger Serengeti eco system and as such its filled with numerous wild savanna mammals and a game drive here promises nothing short of epic sightings of animals like lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Cape Buffaloes, Wildebeests, Leopards and Cheatahs etc all roaming these savanna fields.

Day 13: Full day spent in Ngorongoro

This day is dedicated to conversing the crater floor which is famous for its exceptional game views.

Day 14: Transfer to Arusha for relaxation

The 14th day will have you drive back to your hotel in Arusha and spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 15: Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport 

The last day of this safari will have you transfer to Kilimanjaro airport where you will catch your outbound flight
