3 Days Murchison Falls National Park
Overview
This 3 days tour to takes you to the distinguished Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s picturesque heritage, with thrilling scenic allure and landscapes. Enjoy game viewing drives and the Ziwa Rhino Santuary.
Day 1 – Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Toy you will be will be picked up from the airport or your hotel at around 8 am from Kampala or Entebbe and then start your drive to Murchison Falls National Park passing through beautiful woodlands and Savannah grasslands. Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. There are game fish in the cascades of Karuma Falls. This journey takes 6-7 hours with stopovers at interesting tourist attractions en route.

Day 2 – Game Drives and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
You will wake up very early and set off at 6.30am for a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork.
You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds. The boat stops just tens of meters from the falls for pictures to be taken of the ravishing and majestic Murchison Falls.

Day 3 – Murchison Falls National Park to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (Rhino Tracking) to Kampala
After your breakfast drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary via the top of the falls to view undoubtedly the thundering Murchison Falls from the top before continuing to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, Rhino tracking takes about 2 hours in the company of well trained and knowledgeable local guides. After this great experience, you will head to the restaurant for your lunch, and later transfer to Kampala (or Entebbe).
