For the past 18 years, Paul Karanja, the founder of Gorilla O’clock have been working as a full time destination specialist in East Africa thus making him one of the leading specialists in tailor-made safari holidays in the region.

We use a very wide range of accommodation options, from adventurous tented camps to luxurious safari lodges, and our ability to do this is based entirely on our extremely in-depth knowledge of East African regions in which we specialize in, and of the hospitality industry in general.

In addition to dedicated ‘gorilla trekking safaris’, we also specialize in wildlife safaris in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania, as well as beach vacations to glorious places such Diani, Ukunda, Malindi & Lamu (Kenyan coast), Mauritius, Seychelles and Zanzibar. It is easily possible to combine a primate and wildlife safari with a variety of other interests. We authentically tailor-make each holiday, starting from scratch by finding out what your requirements are and what is going to suit you.

As we offer a wide range of holiday options across the four East African countries (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania), our customers vary tremendously in age, interests and requirements.
