This 4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari is a great way to experience game viewing, Chimpanzee tracking and Gorilla trekking in a short time and without spending a fortune. Enjoy a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimpanzee tacking in Kalinju forest and Gorilla trekking in Bwindi.

Day 1:  Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On arrival, you will be met by our company representative and your driver/guide at Entebbe Airport. Alternatively, you will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with lunch en-route in Mbarara and arriving the park late afternoon and enjoy an evening game drive. Return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinju & Transfer to Bwindi

Have early morning breakfast and go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinju forest on the Queen Elizabeth park boundary. The activity lasts 3 to 4 hours and later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park with lunch en-route in Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and game viewing drive.

Driving time approx. 3-4 hours

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking

Mountain gorillas are true gentle giants found in Bwindi impenetrable forest and Mgahinga gorilla national park in Uganda. Bwindi impenetrable forest is abounding with life hosting species of birds, butterflies, primates, mammals, and trees. Your ranger guide will guide you to in conjunction with early trackers to the enormous and rare mountain gorillas deep in the jungles of Bwindi. The trekking experience takes anything from on hour (rarely) to about 8 hours to accomplish, you only have one hour with gorillas to capture your finest moment. For those not interested in gorilla tracking can take a community village walk or short guided forest walk.

Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe

After anrelaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe departing at 11h40 arriving at 13h20. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Case clinic for your covid test and then to Faze three restaurant for lunch as you wait for covid results. Transfer back to the airport for your outbound flight back home or to your next destination.

Gorilla trekking tips

  1. Bwindi impenetrable national park requires hiking, you should pace yourself and drink plenty of water.
  2. Eating, drinking and smoking near the gorillas is forbidden. Your ranger guide will communicate designated time and place for such.
  • We encourage you to carry a rain poncho
  1. Waterproof walking shoes or hiking boots are essential.
  2. Gardening gloves for protection against stinging plants
  3. Long trousers and long sleeved sweaters or shirts while in the forest to avoid insect stings.
  • Photography is permitted, although you must not use flash
