5 days Northern Uganda & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Day 1 – Kampala – Jinja – Mbale
You will be picked up in Kampala and travel through Jinja, the second largest town in Uganda after Kampala to the town of Mbale. On arrival you will have your lunch taking off on an afternoon hike to Sipi Falls where there are 3 main waterfalls you will visit. This hike is well worth the effort as it will provide a great vista of beautiful scenery. After the hike you will come back to the hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2 – Sipi Falls – Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast you will check-out and head north to the world renowned Kidepo Valley National Park. There will be a brief stopover to enjoy the scenery along the winding road. You will stop for a hot lunch and then continue on to Kidepo Valley National Park; passing through Soroti Town and Kaabong. Bordered on both sides by mountains, Kidepo Valley National Park offers an abundance of wildlife especially big cats, buffalo, ostrich, zebra, and a variety of birds. You will check-in at your Lodge and then go on an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 – Kidepo Valley National Park
You will rise very early for a sunrise game drive where you will catch the wildlife at their most active. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then embark on a long game drive where you will spot tree-climbing lion, cheetah, ostrich, zebra, giraffe, elephant, and buffalo. You will also have the chance to take a short hike that will give you a magnificent view of the flat unending landscape. Birding is also another activity available since the park has hundreds of bird species. After your hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the local tribes of the Dodoth and Karamojong; nomadic pastoralists who are almost unaffected by civilization and who live in their traditional lifestyles. You will experience their lifestyle firsthand and also watch some traditional dancing. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and then settle in for the night.

Day 4 – Kidepo – Kitgum – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early breakfast you will check-out and hit the road for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will make a stopover in Kitgum Town for lunch and then continue on to the park; Later in the evening you will check-in at Lodge for dinner for your overnight stay.

Day 5 – Kampala
After breakfast you will head to ziwa rhino sanctuary, Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch located in Nakasongola district is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The Rhino re-introduction project was a project of Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority. Ziwa is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. Presently the sanctuary is home to thirty two (32) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for Rhino Trekking, Shoebill Trek and Canoe Ride, Bird Watching, Night Walk, Nature Walk and Relaxation. Lunch will be served at the sanctuary before driving back to Kampala, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home or at your designated hotel. This is where your safari will end.
