This 10 Days Gorilla meets Simba safari is a Uganda Kenya primates trekking & wildlife safari which is aimed at giving you the best primates and savanna wildlife encounters these 2 have to offer. While on this Uganda Kenya safari, expect to meet with the primates of Uganda as you get to visit Kibale and Bwindi Impenetrable national parks which are home to Chimpanzees and gorillas respectively. In Kenya you will encounter numerous savanna wild mammals as you are set to visit Lake Nakuru National park and Masai Mara Game reserve.

Detailed safari itinerary

Day 1: 05th Dec 2025: Pick up from Entebbe airport and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe

Arrival and pick up from Entebbe and then you will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe to unwind from the jetlag

Day 2: 06th Dec 2025: Drive to Kibale with hot lunch in Fort portal

This day will have you transfer from Entebbe to Kibale National Park, Kibale NP is located 350km or 6-7 hours drive away from Entebbe. While on this journey you will encounter numerous Ugandans going about their daily activities and these will range from trade to farming their lands. As you drive to Kibale look out for sprawling tea plantations that will surely take your breath away. You will have an enroute lunch in Fort Portal town before you finally arrive at your lodge in Kibale forest.

Day 3: 07th Dec 2025: Chimpanzees trek and a visit to Bigodi community

On this you will have a chance to have an upclose encounter with the man’s closest wild cousin the chimpanzees as you engage in an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale national park which is home to these humbling primates. In the afternoon you will get a chance to visit Bigodi wetland sanctuary this visit will give an opportunity to engage with the locals of this areas and have a personal experience of their daily lives.

Day 4:  08th Dec 2025: Drive to Bwindi

Day 4 will have you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable park which is home to the biggest primates on earth the giant mountain gorillas.

Day 5:  09th Dec 2025: Meet the Gorillas

This day you will get to actually meet the gorillas as you engage in a memorable gorilla trekking experience which will have you meet these gentle giants in their natural habitat. You will spend an hour observing these majestic creatures in order to have an understanding their habits which aren’t far from our own.

Day 6: 10th Dec 2025: Fly to Entebbe and catch the next flight to Nairobi

Today you will transfer to Kisoro and catch a flight to Entebbe for your onward flight to Nairobi. You can choose to have lunch in Entebbe before you fly to Nairobi. You will be received at Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi city upon your arrival by one of our expert safari guides who will usher into Magical Kenya. You will then be transferred to your Nairobi hotel.

Day 7: 11th Dec 2025: Drive to Lake Nakuru and do game viewing enroute to your lodge here

Today you will wake up in the morning for breakfast after which you will check out of your lodge and embark on a 160km or 3-4 hours journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. A visit to this park ensures that you are primed to encounter wild mammals such as the both the black and white Rhinos, Cape Buffaloes, Hippos and Giraffes. If you are into birding, Lake Nakuru is a birders heaven as its home to over 400 bird species and its famous for its high concentration of both Greater and Leser Flamingos. Other bird species to look out for while in Nakuru include Greater white Pelicans, Abyssinian thrush and the Bateleur. After your game drive, you will retire to your lodge and relax on your porch as you take in the sights and sounds of Lake Nakuru.

Day 8: 12th Dec 2025: Have a morning game drive in Nakuru and transfer to Masai Mara

 This day kicks off with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru to ensure that you see more of what this park as to offer in terms of game viewing opportunities. At the end of this drive, you will begin your journey to Masai Mara. Upon your arrival to Masai Mara, you will undertake an afternoon game drive which is meant to reveal to you the hidden wonders of the Mara plains.

Day 9: 13th Dec 2025: Full day in Mara

 The day commences with a sumptuous breakfast that’s not only aimed at giving your taste buds a thrill of Magical Kenya’s food but also to feel you up so that you can have a wonderful game drive experience without worrying about being hungry. The guide will take you on a morning game drive adventure as you follow some of the game tracks that will ensure to maximize your chances of having an encounter with some of the big five dwellers such as the largest land mammal the African Elephants, the king of the jungle lions which you might spot patrolling their territories, the cape buffaloes that roam the grasslands of these Masai plains, the African Leopards that are famous for their stealth abilities that enable them to catch their prey with surprise. Beyond the big five you still have a chance to see numerous wild dwellers such as Wildebeests, Plain Zebras, and Masai Giraffes and many more. It is safe to note that Masai Mara has the highest concentration of predators more than anywhere else in Kenya. If you are a birding enthusiast, you’re in the right place because Masai Mara is home to over 500 bird species and this game drive will surely put in a prime position to see several of these birds which include the secretary birds, Sooty Chat, Usambiro barbets, Swahili Sparrow. After about 3-4 hours of endless exploration, you will return to your lodge to catch your breath and also have lunch. After lunch you will go back out into the Mara wilderness and engage in a second game drive to further your chances of seeing more of your favourite wild game and birds. You will return to the lodge in the evening and settle in for dinner after which you can choose to enjoy watching the stars light up the skies if the skies are clear and also listen to the numerous calls made by the wild mammals that call this reserve home. After all this, you can retire to your bed and rest for the day.

Day 10: 14th Dec 2025: Drive back to Nairobi

This is your last day in Masai Mara and you will check out of your lodge and embark on a 270km or 4-5 hours drive back to Nairobi where your safari ends.
